Through debate and visibility OPEN Copenhagen will strengthen the identity of Copenhagen and the Copenhageners - on a national as well as an international level. We will make the uniqueness of Copenhagen much more visible and thereby attract more:
- Copenhageners
- Businesses and investors
- Expatriates and tourists
The creation of OPEN Copenhagen
The idea and initiative for OPEN Copenhagen began in 2008 through a joint force of Wonderful Copenhagen and Copenhagen Capacity, as well as a number of companies and organizations in the region. The brand was launched on May 1st 2009.
At that state in time over 30 bureaus competed in a contest about the City Brand. It was the OPEN value and open source logo which won, which you now can see a range of places both in Copenhagen and abroad.
