OPEN network

OPEN Copenhagen is actively strengthened by its numerous members. Therefore, we are always on the lookout for new members who share the vision of making Copenhagen the world’s most open capital.

The OPEN Copenhagen network is currently made up of 22 strategic network partners, representing a diverse range of stakeholders in Copenhagen from both private and public companies, as well as institutions and organisations.

The network is made up of strong members who actively work together in the city’s development on many different levels. The network sees the importance of a shared city brand for Copenhagen - a shared identity - which can be strengthened by, among other things, co-branding and discussion.

The network’s participants include Copenhagen Council, Microsoft Development Center, By & Havn (City & Harbour), Copenhagen Capacity and Wonderful Copenhagen, among others.

”It is important to brand Microsoft as a business, and Copenhagen as a city, to attract international knowledge labour to our development centre in Copenhagen. We see the OPEN Copenhagen brand as a flexible and dynamic concept which will give our employer branding an extra dimension.”
- Charlotte Mark , managing director, Microsoft Development Center, Copenhagen

”We believe that, in terms of business, it is a good idea - and so we think that it is important to support OPEN Copenhagen.”
- Pernille Garde Abildgaard, communications director, By & Havn (City & Harbour)

Members of the OPEN Copenhagen network have the chance to connect with a large network and influence the OPEN Copenhagen brand’s development, strengthening the brand through a joint strategic and coordinated effort, effective marketing, and PR, etc.

Furthermore, they can participate in the many OPEN activities, including free entry to the annual OPEN Copenhagen branding conference.See footage from the Big Brands of Copenhagen conference from May 2011 here, featuring among others architect Bjarke Ingels from BIG, Peter Kreiner from Noma, and Jacob Bøtter from Wemind.

OC Netværk

See how city branding is important for our OPEN Copenhagen strategic network members and their case studies.

As a part of the network you will lead the way in the branding of Copenhagen. Innovative - through working with an open source brand together with being an active player in Copenhagen’s culture and business life. Team player - because of horizontal and vertical work with Copenhagen’s largest stakeholders across branches, institutions from the public and private. First mover - by being in dialogue with the first movers in Copenhagen.

All in all, an OPEN brand builder with a young and innovative image, which shows that you want to play a part in Copenhagen and the city’s future in partnership

· With the locals and the city’s stakeholders

· At national and international level in terms of human and competitive reasons · And with more than words

You will be cultural standard bearers to encourage Copenhageners to be proud of their city, in the same way as “I love NY” and “I AMsterdam”
